Within Kusters Goumans we have a separate product group, Kusters Goumans Lead Shielding, specialized in lead casting and lead machining.

Lead is a versatile material used in batteries, roofing, or in places where radiation shielding is needed, such as in machines and equipment. This is because lead has special characteristics that make it a cost-effective material to protect against radiation.

Thanks to that useful property, lead is one of our product group specialties, and we have acquired in-depth expertise in the field of radiation shielding and lead machining. As one of the few specialists in this area, we are capable of casting and machining lead in-house.

The unique combination of casting and precision lead machining enables us to produce lead parts with extremely narrow tolerances and complex forms.

Our lead products are used in a wide range of industry sectors, wherever X-ray, electron or nuclear radiation is present.
